Quick read, hits deep
Sheila Walsh's books have really changed my devotional life. I've never been great at taking time out of my day to spend, but her five minute devotionals have really hit home and helped me intentionally take time out of my day to focus on God. I work in film and our days often run 12-16 hours long; the quick, straight to the point entries help stop my day even if it's only for 5 days to focus on God. She really hits on some modern day issues today with our go-go-go lifestyles today and intentionally taking time to just stop and be still.
Wonderful And Inspiring
I really enjoy reading Sheila's series of 5 Minutes with Jesus and look forward to the release of each new book. This one did not disappoint. The book pulls you into her life and gives you a short but inspiring grasp of how Jesus's love has touched her. She writes for all who need a break away from this busy world and remind ourselves that we are loved by our Lord and how we can connect with him. I start my day with her books. I recommend this for anyone who needs this and likes a bit of humor at times along with thoughtful words of wisdom.
It brings my mother's stories to life again!
I have several daily devotion books that I use each day. This is one of my favorites because she reminds me very much of my mother and the things she had to say, to keep me grounded for the day. I truly like how she has a great story to tie the subject of the day in, that is something I can think about through out the day!
Great Book!!
I know Ms. Walsh books though l will confess this is my second book of her. This book will be good for a working woman or busy housewife who wants some part of the Bible. This book is short and good and it make it good to start the day.
Quick start to thought day
Love all 3 books I have in this 5 Minutes With Jesus series. Particularly the scripture verses which can take you deeper. Sheila Walsh has proven to me over and over in all her writings and books, to be sensitive as a writer and offer great wisdom in a thoughtful style.

Excellent way to meditate, relax and start the day right or take a quiet break in the middle of a hectic day.
I did not want this devotional to end
This is a fabulous devotional. I read a chapter every morning to feel the love of God, but you may wish to read it in larger portions. The author is authentic, down to earth, wise and full of love to share. Someday I will probably read it again.
God speaks
God speaks to us in many ways - a comment from others, a well-timed verse during Bible reading, a small voice inside us, the day’s devotional reading. God spoke to me through devotionals contained here so many times it brought me to tears.

This is such a great daily read. I couldn’t believe when I came to the end and am looking for the next. Each day shares a simple truth, and is supported by great scripture verses. Truly makes my day!
